Ska has become something major, even though it has been around for many years, some people don’t even know that it exists today and have never heard of it. There are always new sensations when it comes to the world of punk bands and ska, but there are a few long-standing champions as well as new-popular faces that have been recognized for their great taste in music making. Some might not be known around the world, only in a few places, but others are known world-wide. Below you will find a list of some of the popular and not-yet widely popular bands that are taking our stages and radios by storm.

Just a few of the bands that have been recognized among the best are; Aquabats, Laurel Aitken, Animal Chin, Bad Manners, Catch 22, Mustard Plug, Chinkees, Reel Big Fish, Fishbone, Five Iron Frenzy, Hepcat, Gadjits and many more.

The Aquabats have released many songs, but there hit seems to be “Robot Army”. Other songs from them include “Fashion Zombies”, “Nerd Alert”, “Lovers of Loving Love”, “Awesome Forces” and more. Another Ska or one of the punk bands would be Catch 22 and there demo tape, Rules of the Game, released in 1996 is what got them recognized as a successful ska group and one of the great punk bands there are. Some of their other hits are “Keasbey Nights”, “Dear Sergio”, “Walking Away”, “And A Three Piece Suit”.

Reel Big Fish is another one of the popular punk bands and a few of their hits include; “She Has a Girlfriend Now”, “Beer”, “Sell Out, “Everything Sucks” and many more. Mustard Plug CD’s also feature in many homes, some of their songs that you might recognize are; “Brain on Ska”, “Lolita”, “You”, “Yesterday” and lots more.

These are not all of the ska/punk bands there are, there are many more, these are just a few of the well-known ones around.
